view Following a federal appeals court decision, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp's LIFE Act is effective on July 20

As a result of Gov. Brian Kemp signing the state's abortion bill three years ago,

many production companies vowed to stop filming in Georgia or at least "reconsider".

As of 2019, a federal judge blocked the law after ruling that it was  unconstitutional.

The law will now take effect on July 20 because a federal

appeals court has overturned the lower court's ruling.

The federal appeals court's decision was expected after the U.S. Supreme Cour

ruled in June that abortion is not constitutionally protected.
